BrightStar Congratulates The School-related Employee of the Year

BrightStar Credit Union was a proud sponsor the annual Broward County Public Schools School-Related Employee of the Year breakfast on December 8th. This event heralds the School District’s unsung heroes, those who help make our schools better. We congratulate all semifinalists for their dedication and service to the students of Broward County.  This year’s top winner was Dawn Yates, who is the Community Liaison at Lauderdale Manors Elementary School.  She is such a believer in parents becoming involved in their child’s education, Dawn Yates became a community liaison 24 years ago in order help parents become engaged in the educational process. Her personal belief is that strong family support helps children strive to reach their academic potential and become productive members of society. For more than 20 years, the Broward County Council of PTAs has recognized Yates for her outstanding service. Congratulations, Dawn!  Dawn received a $1000 prize from BrightStar.

BrightStar also supports the District’s Teacher of the Year and Principal/Assistant Principal of the Year events.  We are very proud and grateful for the relationship that we have built with Broward’s amazing teachers, principals, staff and students over the years. And we look forward to continuing our support.
