Congratulations to Alvin Davis, Broward’s 2012 Teacher of the Year!

Each year and for over 10 years, BrightStar Credit Union has sponsored the Broward Schools’ Teacher of the Year event. This annual event honors the “Best of the Best” Teachers of Broward County Public Schools.  We congratulate the teachers of the year from every school and all the semifinalists for their dedication and service to the students of Broward County.

This year’s Teacher of the Year is Alvin Davis from Miramar High School. Mr. Davis has been the music educator for the past 10 years; he believes that it is not enough to just teach music, he also reinforces the skills learned in other classes. His objective is to develop an award-winning, academic- focused music program on the cutting edge of creativity and band pageantry.

Congratulations, Alvin Davis!  Alvin received a $1000 prize from BrightStar.

BrightStar also supports the District’s Principal/Assistant Principal of the Year, School related employee of the year, and many other events recognizing our outstanding leaders throughout the year.  We are very proud and grateful for the relationship that we have with Broward’s amazing teachers, principals, staff and students over the years. And we look forward to continuing our support.
